Chilly in Charleston

It got pretty chilly here yesterday ... fluctuating between 35-40 degrees. So we needed to bundle up for our neighborhood walks. My sister found Emma a fleece bodysuit in PA ... which is working great! Emma and I walk around the block about 2-3 times a day. We chat it up with a couple neighbors, if they are out, and pet Charlie and Courage (cats) and Indy and Leo (dogs) .. actually I pet them and Emma looks.

"Let me hold her".

GG (Great Gramps), Auntie Amy and Gramps Kukla get time holding Emma ~ She and they can't get enough. Dale, Emma and I were in Columbia, SC the last 2 weekends. Lots of family time .... also getting Emma prepped to meet the Meagher side of the family... all 40 of 'em ... for Christmas.

Moira's Birthday

Dale, Emma and I went out for a nice dinner at Rue de Jean on Dec. 2nd. We were joined by some great friends ... about 7 total. The last time we had been to Rue de Jean was for our rehearsal dinner back in Sept. 07. We all had a nice time.

big girl !

Ok, Emma had her 2 month well-check today. She is a hefty 12lbs 10 oz (well above average). She is 22 inches long (average). And her head is 15 inches in circumference (average). Doing well .. but still dealing with significant gas ... might be a Meagher gene involved with that one.

8 weeks

Emma is changing a little every week. She has started smiling at us and beginning to vocalize. She is also very fascinated by her new friend, Jacques the Peacock.

New Job for Dale

We were really blessed that Dale had 5 weeks off to be home. God really answered our prayer to have time together as a family. He has switched jobs and started the newest one this week. He is working at a skilled nursing facility/rehab center. He continues to work with mostly elderly patients. He has enjoyed it so far and is able to work regular hours and be home by about 5:00pm. Also, this new job is only 3 miles from our house!

Emma Ruth

Well, Emma is 6 weeks old today. Its hard to believe that its been that long. She has been a great joy to us and we really love her!! But taking care of her has its ups and downs.... she's been fussy and gassy and not sleeping really well. So we keep trying different solutions ... mylicon, gripe water, nystatin for yeast infection .. and ...the latest diagnosis is acid reflux and we'll be trying liquid Zantac.
