Easter Break with the Gemignani's

We travelled to Santa Cruz and met my sister, Sheila, and her husband, Dino, and 2 girls, Corrina and Angela. We stayed for a couple days there where Dino's mother lives and then Emma and I returned to Arroyo Grande with Dino and Sheila while Dale drove back to Redding. We spent the week relaxing, checking out the beach, doing a little shopping and just hanging out together. Emma enjoyed "Annana" (Angela), "Caweena" (Corrina), "She-a" (Sheila) and "Dino". But she really was taken with one of their cats, Rico. Dale came to pick us up and we made the drive back to Redding.

6 months pregnant! Feeling Great. We finally decided to go with a midwife for prenatal and labor/delivery ~ Nora McNeill.




















Dale has been keeping up with our vegetable garden. Our winter greens began to do better when we started getting some more sun. Dale and Emma worked on planting seeds for spring vegetables. She was really intrigued by the roly-poly bugs.






















Dale also went on his mission trip to San Francisco at the end of March. His team was awesome and they really saw God show up as they ministered to people there.

~January 2010

Gramps Larson came to visit us in January. He hung out with us and also played some golf. As a special treat he took us out for a really nice meal at Rivers Restaurant.

Opa Kukla came to visit for a week.

We went snowshoeing at Mt. Lassen .... really beautiful and fun.

We took 2 weeks to travel East. To Baltimore first, then roadtrip to SC.

BIRTHDAY PARTY @ Whiskeytown Lake


We had a great time hanging out with new friends at the lake on Sept. 19th. It was hot enough to swim :) I made a fruit tart to avoid massive sugar intake... but Emma liked the fruit the best!

DAY TRIP TO MCCLOUD FALLS

We took a nice trip to McCloud (just south of Mt. Shasta), packed a picnic and hiked to lower, middle and upper falls. It was a beautiful, easy hike about 2 miles. It was chilly there.

Its been a wonderful, precious year with Emma ~ we looked forward with eagerness to watch what God has put inside her blossom in the months and years ahead.

WALKIN' TALL

She went from walking while holding both our hands, to one of our hands, to practicing with a walker and BOOM... she took the first steps on her own and its been all walking since.... a week before her first birthday
